Management Action

While it is important to record and group the data to know the performance of the cleaning program at any point in time, it is critical to understand what actions management can take to have the greatest impact on this performance.

Each KPI section has reports that shows the priority opportunities to focus efforts, that if followed, will have the greatest impact towards performance.

Cleanliness

For Cleanliness Quality, there is the Top 3 Room Types report, which provides specific information on the top three rooms that have the highest quality issues. Focus on these Room Types should yield immediate improvement in cleanliness

Satisfaction

For Satisfaction, the Trend by Source report and the Comment Summary provide actionable priority data for Managers. Excessive negative comments from one source should be handled on a one by one basis by talking to the source.

Comment Summary

Organic Load

For Organic Load, the report titled Organic Load: Item Trend provides priority item analysis. This is most important when excessive organic load levels exist over 2, 3, or more consecutive periods. Where positive trends are identified, a congratulatory note and other recognition is appropriate. Where negative trends are noted, corrective action is warranted to identify opportunities for coaching, training or systems changes to reduce Organic matter on RED bracketed touch surfaces.

The reports provide the detail to locate the particular item to be addressed. Here, a Bench identified above can be located and action taken.

Process Improvement

For Process Improvement, the Improvement Opportunities by Task and Room report (shown below) allows the manager to identify the level of Task success or opportunity by type of Room. Where high (RED) numbers are identified, follow-up action is warranted to identify opportunities for coaching, training or systems changes focused on the specific Room-based tasks.
